Come see

January 3, 2010

Come see
come see children smile
mother hugs her lovely child
papa takes time off
to play ball and dials
for the best in food around
but hey its plain chicken
the child wanted ‘with cheese’
so come see children cry

come see children cry
hunger pains on garbage piles
this one rummaging the heap
finds some leftover meat
and some dried up fries
no coke to wash it down
but hey its a treat
so come see children smile

come see children cry
feverish fire on the rise
no such thing as medicine money
or cash to call the doctor with
this child will not survive
but no the others won’t learn
the food was filthy and with flies
so come see
come see children die
