Wear a red sky today

January 20, 2013

I had a craving to wear a red sky today
walk in pyjamas and a rainbow on
telling the world I’m gone the other way
while the world goes on and on and on

I had a craving to wear my heart out today
speechless with love for each and all
needed to wear a shining sun of rays
beaming hope in seventy directions

but you would have gone on with your life
the same same old, the very same old
never noticing the sky within you
nor the sweet song around of gold

I had a vision, a craving, and such a need
but instead I wrapped up my red heart
in deepest folds of my sky and sun
waiting till your soul begins to breathe
